Load Scorer
Pitch video
Mission
90 wordsLoad Scorer exists to eliminate guesswork from freight decisions. America's owner-operators and small fleet carriers accept or reject loads every day based on gut feel and incomplete data because existing tools calculate profit from incomplete inputs, missing tolls, deadhead costs, and carrier-specific overhead that determine whether a load is actually worth taking. Load Scorer changes that with a simple A-through-F profitability grade, calculated before every booking. Our mission is to give every independent carrier the same financial clarity that large enterprise fleets have always had, one load at a time.
Why this business is necessary
354 wordsThe American trucking industry moves the economy, yet the independent owner-operators and small fleet carriers who form its backbone make critical business decisions with tools never designed to answer the right questions. Load boards show a rate, but profit estimators rely on industry averages that miss tolls, true deadhead distance, detention time, and actual operating costs. A carrier might accept a $2,500 load without knowing that tolls, empty miles, and unpaid detention will turn it into a net loss. This is a daily reality for over 350,000 independent carriers lacking the financial infrastructure of large fleets. It is why well-run operations fail or survive on instinct rather than information. Current tools like standalone calculators or TMS platforms require manual entry and produce profit figures that do not reflect what a carrier actually takes home. None are designed for the critical thirty seconds between receiving a load offer and making a decision. Load Scorer is built for that moment. It converts the full cost picture, including fuel, deadhead, tolls, and overhead, into a single A through F grade before the load is booked. It answers the only question that matters: will this load actually produce a profit? I built this because I lived the problem. As a former dispatcher, I watched a company collapse after years of uninformed decisions. My parents operate their own small fleet today and face the same consequences. I did not build Load Scorer because of a market gap in a spreadsheet; I built it because I watched people lose money on a problem that should be solvable. The foundation is ready. Load Scorer is a production-ready, multi-tenant SaaS platform with a mobile-first interface and a tested grading engine. A phased roadmap leads to a public launch in December 2026, adding real-time routing, toll integration, and OCR extraction to eliminate manual entry. The business model is a tiered SaaS subscription priced for the independent carrier, the industry's most underserved segment. Load Scorer is not just a better calculator. It is the financial infrastructure small carriers have never had, built by someone who needed it for the people who need it most.
