Echo Me LLC is dedicated to designing engaging, research-backed toys that support early speech development in young children. Echo Me toys produce difficult speech sounds that prompt children to play, listen, and learn! Making early speech intervention more accessible and fun for all kids and parents.

Echo Me tackles an issue that no other toy company has effectively addressed: speech disorders are on the rise. Currently 1 in 12 U.S. children has a speech disorder, and speech disorder diagnoses have more than doubled since 2020. Speech pathologists point to increased use in screens and decrease in socialization as being key stressors to this increase in speech issues. Speech disorders hinder effective learning, socialization, and self-esteem. Current solutions aren’t developmentally appropriate for early speech articulation development or lack long-term engagement. Echo Me bridges the gap between effective speech learning and fun toy design. For parents, the problem starts with getting the necessary help and tools to aid their child’s development. Parents report that public schools provide limited speech therapy time, often pulling children from crucial classroom instruction. Private speech clinics require additional time and money many families don’t have, and parents feel uneasy sending their child to unfamiliar places and providers. On top of that, speech pathologists assign at-home practice, but busy parents often lack the time, confidence, and understanding needed to provide effective speech learning for their kids. Large toy companies won’t address these issues. We’ve learned that toy companies always start with the question: is it fun? While this has merit, it often leads to the same ideas being cycled through in different fashions. Echo Me is flipping the script by demonstrating that the future of innovative and fun toys may start with a different question: where are the gaps in education and developmental learning? Our toys provide clear value and learning, while simultaneously making kids burst out in giggles and laughter together. Some of our most meaningful moments building Echo Me have been in the classroom. We’ve not just created a better tool for learning, but one that is surprising and fun to children. We are challenging the toy industry to see the potential and future in designing toys from a whole new perspective, one that goes beyond entertainment to benefit children, families, schools, and society. We are the future of learning, play, and fun.
