Mission

79 words

Broadr exists to amplify the masculine silhouette for the modern man. We design fashion pieces that amplify broad aesthetic shoulders and enhance the V-taper structure: something that women have been attracted to since the beginning of time. By integrating bold proportions with invisible structure, our designs boost your natural anatomy while remaining completely undetectable. Command presence from the boardroom to nightlife with the confidence of a frame built for power. We believe in wearing what you plan to become.

Why this business is necessary

Something broke in how young men connect. Nearly two-thirds of Gen Z and young Millennials say they rarely or never date, a staggering shift from the Silent Generation, where that number barely cracked ten percent. The desire for connection hasn't faded. If anything, research shows men crave it just as much as ever. But between the distortion of social media and shifting cultural expectations, the path forward feels blocked. Close to half of young adults now report chronic loneliness, and the weight falls hardest on guys. That doesn't stay contained. It bleeds into everything. We're two juniors at USC Marshall, and we've been sitting inside this problem ourselves, researching it obsessively as we try to build something that actually helps. Broadr is what came out of that process, a hunch that became a prototype. The product is simple on the surface: heavyweight cotton sweaters with cotton shoulder pads sewn into double-sided seamline pockets, totally invisible from the outside and inside. What they do is amplify your frame, broadening the shoulders and sharpening the V-taper that studies consistently link to physical attractiveness. Here's the logic we're exploring. Confidence matters enormously in dating, and gym work is one of the most research-backed ways men build it. But if you're starting from a narrow frame, the gap between where you are and where you want to be can kill motivation before it starts. We think Broadr can short-circuit that, give you an immediate sense of what a stronger silhouette feels like, and let that momentum carry you into the gym to earn it permanently. Our responses from friends and surveyed USC students shows a resounding “yes,” and we’re hoping the America 250 team will get on board with us as well. On execution, we're heavy in the development phase. We have two prototypes formed, have a reliable source for our sweater blanks, and have the equipment and wherewithal to sew the pockets into the sweaters. Our supply chain is a very lean and bootstrapped process right now, as we plan on implementing a preorder structure for proof of demand before scaling. The market pull is real. Men's apparel is a five-hundred-billion-dollar space, and “looksmaxxing” content racks up over ten billion views monthly, but almost nobody is building actual products around the specific niche of frame enhancement. Men Pen and Conzuri offer face and height offerings, yet nothing exists for the v-taper aesthetic that millions of men chase in the gym every day. We're starting with sweaters at a thirty-nine-dollar preorder targeting ten thousand Gen Z early adopters, then expanding into adjacent categories. First five hundred orders get a free Broadr hat to incentivize early purchases. Broadr isn't just a clothing company to us. We are hoping to be the first of many to build a looksmaxxing infrastructure for guys who are ready to level up. We're neophytes looking for mentorship and the kind of honest feedback that helps founders grow into the thing they're building. Help us get there.
