Mission

97 words

P.S. makes it effortless to send greeting cards that feel genuinely handmade and personal. Our mobile app lets anyone create a one-of-a-kind card in under two minutes, featuring their recipient's real home, pet, hobby, or inside joke, then we print and mail it for them. No templates. No generic messages. Every card is as unique as the person receiving it. We believe the small act of sending a thoughtful card can strengthen relationships in a world that's increasingly digital and disconnected. P.S. exists to make people feel remembered, celebrated, and loved through something they can actually hold.

Why this business is necessary

470 words

The greeting card industry generates $7 billion annually in the U.S. alone. Yet the experience of buying a card hasn't meaningfully changed in decades. You drive to a store, stand in an aisle for fifteen minutes, pick something that sort of fits, scribble a message, and hope it doesn't feel generic. Or you skip it entirely because the whole process feels like a chore. Meanwhile, digital alternatives like e-cards and text messages are convenient but disposable. They don't sit on someone's mantel. They don't get tucked into a drawer and rediscovered years later. There's a reason people still want physical cards: they carry emotional weight that digital messages simply cannot replicate. The problem is clear. People want to send meaningful, personal cards, but the current options force them to choose between convenient and generic, or personal and time-consuming. Neither works. P.S. eliminates that tradeoff. Our app lets users describe what makes their recipient special, then creates a completely original card around those details. A card for your mom might feature her garden. A card for your college roommate might reference the road trip you took sophomore year. A birthday card for your partner might include their dog. These aren't templates with swapped names. Every card is built from scratch for one person. Once the user approves their card, we handle everything else: professional printing on premium cardstock, a handwritten-style envelope, and first-class mail directly to the recipient. The entire process takes less than two minutes and costs $6. We've validated this with real users and the results speak for themselves. Recipients consistently believe the cards were handmade by the sender. This test is our north star metric. When someone opens a P.S. card and thinks their friend actually sat down and created it by hand, we've succeeded. The market timing is right. Consumers are experiencing "digital fatigue" and craving tangible, authentic connection. The rise of journaling, letter writing, and analog hobbies reflects a broader cultural shift back toward things that feel real. P.S. sits at the intersection of that desire for authenticity and the convenience people expect from modern technology. Our early traction confirms demand. We're live on Etsy, Shopify, Amazon, and TikTok Shop with a growing customer base, and our iOS app is preparing for wider launch. Customer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with repeat purchase rates that signal genuine product-market fit. P.S. is necessary because no one else is solving this problem at this quality level. Existing card companies offer personalization that amounts to picking a font and typing a name. We're building something fundamentally different: cards that capture real relationships, real memories, and real emotions. The kind of card that makes someone cry in a good way. Everyone has someone they've been meaning to reach out to. We just make it ridiculously easy to actually do it.
