America develops the most advanced tools on earth, and Make Local ensures that the communities and businesses capable of using them gain full access to do so. We operate microfactories and cultivate a network of entrepreneurs and local businesses that serve as the connective tissue between American R&D and the distributed local economies that have always driven this country forward.

In the past 250 years, the world has developed and changed more rapidly than ever before. America has been able to move from relying on agricultural exports as a colony to a manufacturing powerhouse during the Industrial Revolution. Currently, we are the epicenter of the world’s technological and economic development. Across these ages of development, America achieved unprecedented economic expansion through continually reinvesting into domestic infrastructure and industry, making production accessible to the general population and creating an entrepreneurial environment. Yet, as we enter a new age of innovation with the most powerful tools in human history, domestic manufacturing productivity has stagnated. 250,000 small manufacturers operate with outdated equipment and processes, and 482,000 manufacturing positions are unfilled. The majority of American businesses have yet to catch up to the current wave of innovations, either due to the high-cost barrier to entry or unawareness of the rapid technological advancements. Communities that once sustained themselves through local production have lost the infrastructure, knowledge, and access to participate in the industries their tax dollars fund. Make Local is the bridge for putting innovations in the hands of founders and connecting them with local businesses. The company operates local microfactories that enable founders with industrial prototyping and production equipment, compressing the path of concept to first manufactured product from months to hours. This gives preexisting businesses and institutions a place to discover new opportunities for improving their own processes and production. Furthermore, every member joins the digital nationwide Make Local Network from day one: a founder in any American city accesses the marketplace, the subcontractor pipeline, and services and opportunities from other members that connect the latest advances in AI, automation, and manufacturing technology to their daily operations. Membership generates recurring monthly income, and equipment utilization generates per-unit production revenue on every product manufactured. An integrated marketplace captures transaction fees on goods sold through the network. As the network scales, Make Local operates as a prime contractor on government procurement and other opportunities, distributing production across member subcontractors and managing quality, delivery, and compliance. Each additional location multiplies total network capacity and unlocks larger procurement contracts. The founding team, Jaeden John and Tyler Moock, seek to start on a local level, implementing their direct capabilities in their hometown of San Diego. Jaeden John studies mechanical engineering and is a member of New Bible Belt, a modern order of founders, builders, and creatives operating across vectors with a shared conviction of excellence as devotion. Tyler Moock studies classics and business, and has worked as an account executive coordinating projects for a small business in San Diego and as a contractor operating commercial and residential projects. Using this shared network of Southern California businesses and entrepreneurs at the frontier of innovation, we plan to coordinate new projects to help founders create and help businesses innovate, so that every product manufactured through Make Local and every service delivered through our network represents domestic investment returning to the people it was meant to reach.
