StudentXfer’s mission is to genuinely simplify and remove barriers that transfer students face. Our goal is to help students discover possible college matches and connect students directly to admissions, with a “transfer portal” where colleges can reach out to students directly with admission and scholarship offers, making direct admissions accessible to all college and community college transfers.

Institutions are spending billions on marketing tactics per year, focusing on attracting high school students while community college students tend to be overlooked and undervalued. Community college students are well set up via transfer/articulation agreements, but why limit it, when all colleges and students can benefit from choice. StudentXfer will be a platform that will connect students with colleges, enabling users to create a profile, with academic and personal preferences. A search function will generate high-potential matches for the student’s review. An “opt-in” like function will place the student’s profile into an academic “transfer portal.”  The “transfer-portal” will be an extremely valuable recruiting pipeline that pools high intent students, where institutions will have a searchable database to identify, evaluate and recruit desired students. Institutions can directly negotiate scholarship and placement offerings, fill vacancies, and simplify their enrollment management.  Additionally, “transfer portal” will provide equality of opportunity by providing accessibility and visibility to students who otherwise may not have the means to pursue recruitment. Colleges are facing declining enrollment, while student transfers are deterred by the difficulty and stress of navigating school choice, requirements, and costs. This highlights the need for a better way. Community college students make up about 40% of the undergraduate population, and transfer students between 4-year colleges is about 10%. Roughly half of the undergraduate population are potential StudentXfers. StudentXfer’s platform will be a pipeline to an untapped revenue of the student transfer population. Enrollment management is a key factor to an Institution’s sustainability. The closest competitors to StudentXfer are EdVisorly, Appily, Common App and College Transfer. Edvisorly platform has about 360 of 2600 schools. Search results are repetitive regardless of filters. Appily targets high school students and counselors although it gives some college level leads to scholarships. Appily and Common App, offer direct admission to select institutions and is limited to some low- income high school students. StudentXfer will be an accessible tool for all transfer students to reach their educational goals.
